SOL INVICTUS

The God of the Sun is perhaps the most ancient competitor on the Super Awesome Showdown's Roster. Some speculate that he is as old as the Sun he is linked to. Some believe Sol Invictus is the avatar of the Sun itself. Others claim that he is simply a powerful alien who has learned how to harness Solar Energy for his own uses. In any case, Sol Invictus is a skilled fighter, with strength and energy manipulation powers that far surpass those of any mortal man.

He is vain, condescending and tyrannical in his views of the Citizens of Super Awesome Showdown. Still, this does not seem to matter to the being known as Sol Invictus, as his mastery of space and legions of terrified worshipers seem to be all the allegiance he desires. His only weakness thus far discovered seems to be the very object that grants him his power: when the Sun fades, so does his strength. This might be the only reason the heroes of Showdown have managed to withstand him at all...
